Hey, I’m Lexie.
Photographer, artist, and the woman behind House of Shewmaker.
House of Shewmaker (formerly Fearless & Co) is an extension of me. It has grown as I have grown, changed as I have changed, and evolved into something that feels much more like home.
What started as Fearless & Co has become something deeper: a place where women can pause, be seen exactly as they are, and celebrate who they are becoming.
Because I know what it feels like to lose pieces of yourself somewhere along the way. I also know what happens when you start finding them again.
That’s what I want to create for you.
Not just pretty photographs.
An experience that reminds you that you are still here. That your body is yours. That your story belongs to you. That you are allowed to take up space, want things, change your mind, become someone new, and celebrate the hell out of it.
I’m based in Dallas, Texas, but I’ve never been particularly interested in staying in one place. I love to travel, and one of my biggest dreams is to photograph women and couples all over the world.
Wherever we create together, my goal is the same: to make beautiful, intentional artwork that feels unmistakably like you.
And you’re never left to figure it out alone.
From preparing for your session and planning your wardrobe, to hair and makeup, choosing sets, being guided through every pose, and deciding how you want to preserve your images afterward, I’m with you through the entire experience.
You bring yourself.

How it all started…
I actually HATED boudoir.
Yep. You read that right.
I photographed a few boudoir sessions early on and decided I wanted absolutely nothing to do with it ever again.
And then, because apparently the universe has a sense of humor, boudoir kept finding its way back into my life.
Eventually, I stopped fighting it and jumped all in.
I could tell you about all the education, workshops, mentors, posing courses, lighting techniques, and years of practice that went into becoming the photographer I am today.
But honestly? That’s not the part of the story that matters most.
What mattered was what started happening to the women in front of my camera. I watched women walk into my studio carrying pieces of themselves they had forgotten, hidden, or simply never learned to see.
And then something shifted.
They saw themselves differently. Not because I magically changed their bodies. Not because I gave them confidence they didn’t have before.
Because for a moment, they got to see themselves through a different lens.
They saw the woman who had survived.
The woman who had changed.
The woman who was starting over.
The woman who was finally choosing herself.
That changed everything for me.
Boudoir became about so much more than taking beautiful photographs. It became a way to mark a moment in someone’s life. A way to celebrate where she has been, where she is now, and everything she is becoming.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just photographing women. I was creating art about them. I’ve been photographing women full-time ever since.
And I still find it pretty damn funny that the thing I once hated became one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever created.
A note from me
Here’s the part where I tell you a little more about the woman behind the camera.
I’m a mom, a wife, a business owner, an artist, a friend, a little bit of a perfectionist, and a completely normal woman who still has days where I look in the mirror and pick myself apart.
I know what it feels like to spend so much time taking care of everyone else that you forget you’re a person who deserves to be taken care of, too. And yes, I’ve had my own boudoir sessions. More than one. They changed me.
Not because I suddenly became a different woman, but because I finally learned how to see the woman I already was. I stopped waiting until I was a certain size, more confident, less busy, more “together,” or somehow more deserving of being celebrated.
I learned to be present in my own life.
I learned that my body didn’t need to be perfect to be beautiful. That confidence isn’t something you have to earn. That taking up space isn’t selfish. And that sometimes you need to stop moving long enough to actually notice the life you’re living.
That experience is a huge part of why I do what I do. Because I don’t want to simply hand you a gallery of beautiful photographs. I want to give you a moment that belongs entirely to you.
A place to slow down.
A place to be seen.
A place to remember yourself outside of all the roles you carry every day.
Maybe you’re stepping into a new chapter. Maybe you’re reclaiming a part of yourself. Maybe you’re celebrating something. Maybe you don’t have a clue what you need yet.
That’s okay.
You don’t have to arrive already confident.
You just have to arrive as yourself.
