Let’s chat with our photographer, Lexie Burton, to hear more about being boudoir ready!
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m Lexie, the face behind Fearless and Co | Photography based in Dallas, TX. I have a passion for photographing intimate women’s portraiture and providing a kickass boudoir experience. I’m a mom, entrepreneur and freshly divorced. I’m a normal, down to earth babe who loves lifting you up.
When Miss A came in for her Dallas boudoir session, my makeup artist (Beauty by Liz) and I went full force. We pulled out the Honey Birdette outfit, a popping makeup and ALL the amazing photos and video you could imagine. Miss A KILLED it on both photos and video. You are going to ask me about your outfits, you are going to ask me about posing and hair and makeup. Yet, the number question I get asked by all my babes is “How Do I Prepare For My Shoot??”
As you get closer to your session, I will send you a list of things to help you prepare as the nerves start to kick in. Once those excited nerves kick in, we tend to forget anything we were told before. I have created a list of of things to help you prepare.
I love a good story. So many years ago, I photographed my first boudoir shoot and while I loved the power of it, it was extremely terrifying. I didn’t want anything to do with it after that session. Boudoir kept coming into my life no matter how much I pushed it away. So I jumped in and knew I had to educate myself. This is such a powerful and intimate form of photography that it wouldn’t be hard to really hurt someone.
